Before establishing H+A Legal, Hector bolstered his corporate experience in an academically funded cadetship at the multinational firm, DHL Express. Hector then ventured into the world of private practice as a solicitor in some of the world’s leading law firms where he gained experience in the commercial disputes and commercial transactions practice groups. In 2013 Hector decided to consolidate his commercial and litigation experience by establishing H+A Legal.
Hector was admitted to practice in the Supreme, Federal and High Court of Australia in 2008 and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
Hector is driven by the fact that the strategic use of legal services is one of the most powerful tools in business and that lawyers are in a unique position to help their clients achieve the goals and ambitions.
In his spare time, Hector enjoys running the track between Coogee and Bronte, and spending time with his family.
Renee is a Director at H+A Legal.
Before joining H+A Legal in 2017, Renee worked for ASX Limited where she supported the in-house Legal team across a wide range of areas, including project development, reviewing and implementing commercial agreements and engaging with key regulators, such as ASIC.
Renee was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2017 after completing a combined Bachelor of Law / Bachelor of Business with a major in Management at University of Technology, Sydney.

Mark is a Consultant at H+A Legal.
Mark brings more than 25 years of experience advising founders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, with a strong focus on delivering practical, commercially astute outcomes. His expertise spans a broad range of business and transactional matters, including:
In addition to his consulting role at H+A Legal, Mark continues to lead his own practice, Allen Legal, which he founded over a decade ago. He has built a reputation for understanding the entrepreneurial mindset and delivering tailored, efficient legal solutions, while maintaining a hands-on approach to advising clients across both roles.
Prior to establishing Allen Legal, Mark was a partner at two established Sydney firms, where he acted for a range of clients, including well-known national and international brands.
Mark also brings valuable governance experience, holding a Graduate Diploma from the AICD and having served on a number of boards, including Sydney Film School and the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network.
Mark is driven by a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by business owners, and the role that strategic legal advice can play in helping clients achieve their commercial objectives.

Ebony is an Associate at H+A Legal.
Ebony began her career with H+A Legal in 2020 as a paralegal whilst completing her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Technology, Sydney. Since being admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2021, Ebony particularly enjoys working with clients at H+A Legal to:

Nikita is a Solicitor at H+A Legal.
Nikita completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours I) and Bachelor of Arts (English) at Macquarie University. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2025 and is on the High Court of Australia roll of practitioners. Her Honours thesis considered cultural influences on the development of family provision legislation in NSW and Hong Kong.
Prior to joining H+A Legal, Nikita has worked at small multidisciplinary firms where she gained experience in a variety of areas from local court criminal advocacy to commercial litigation and general dispute resolution.

Nikhil is a Graduate Lawyer at H+A Legal.
Nikhil is an India-qualified corporate and commercial lawyer, admitted to the Bar Council of Delhi in 2019 and currently transitioning to admission in New South Wales. He brings more than seven years of experience advising on complex domestic and cross-border transactions, strategic corporate matters and disputes. Before joining H+A Legal, Nikhil was a Senior Associate at Trilegal, one of India’s leading law firms ranked Band 1 by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
Nikhil has advised multinational corporates, global investors and government bodies on high-value matters, including transactions for clients such as Brookfield, Hyundai and Akzo Nobel, and strategic and regulatory matters for the Government of India. He also has substantial disputes experience from his time at an Indian boutique practice, where he handled shareholder and contractual disputes, drafted pleadings and settlement agreements, and managed nationwide consumer litigation for Hyundai.

Matilda is a Paralegal at H+A Legal.
Matilda is working with the team at H+A Legal while studying a Juris Doctor at the University of Technology, Sydney. Prior to joining H+A Legal, Matilda has worked as a self-employed Freelance Copywriter with a demonstrated history of working in marketing departments across the corporate technology industry with the likes of Oracle and NEC Australia.
Matilda assists the team with legal, marketing and administrative tasks to continuously improve team productivity, client engagement, satisfaction and success.
Matilda enjoys flexing her strong people, organisational and written skills to help and learn from the reputable and hard-working team at H+A Legal.
When she isn’t in the office or the classroom, Matilda enjoys spending time on Manly beach with her family and planning her next trip to Europe.
Colette is the Office Manager at H+A Legal.
Colette plays a key role in supporting the team and ensuring the firm runs seamlessly. From coordinating office operations to assisting directors and staff with their day-to-day needs, she brings strong organisational skills and a people-first approach to her work. Colette is passionate about fostering strong relationships within the team and creating a workplace that is both productive and welcoming for staff and clients alike.
